The rapid and dramatic fall of the Assad government on 8 December 2024 represents a seismic shift in the political and humanitarian situation in Syria and the region. Following these recent events, UNHCR conducted a Refugee Perception and Intention Survey (RPIS) to better understand and quantify the views of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt. The findings of this report represent a regional aggregation of country survey findings. Variations between responses in each country are highlighted in the report where relevant.
