3RP partners today released the 2017 Progress Report of the Regional Refugee and Resilience Plan (3RP) in Response to the Syria Crisis.

The Report outlines progress in the coordinated, region-wide response of more than 240 partners, including United Nations agencies, NGOs and other international and national actors, to provide assistance and capacities to over 5.2 million Syrian refugees as well as host communities in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt.

The Report notes that the 3RP 2017 interagency appeal is less than 50 per cent funded as at October, which is below the level of funding provided at the same period last year. Nonetheless, partners have made significant progress in providing assistance this – for example over 2.4 million people have received food assistance and 1.9 million have benefited from cash assistance, while significant progress has been made in resilience-building activities for refugees and host communities.
